Why open a Chase Bank Account?

Chase has some of the best credit cards out of any company when it comes to travel rewards and sign up bonuses. Opening a bank account with them establishes a relationship, which in turns helps you qualify and sometimes pre-qualify for their credit cards. Chase is also known for having great customer service; making it easy to handle problems if they do ever occur.
How to qualify for $200 checking account bonus?
The link above will take you directly to the offer. Deposit an initial $25 or more to open your checking bank account. After that you have up to 60 days to have direct deposit(s) totaling to $500 enter the account. Once you have hit this requirement they will deposit an additional $200 into your account within 10 business days.
Are there any catches?
There are no catches but certain things you'll want to be aware of / avoid.
+ Avoid Service Fees on your account by doing one of the following:
Option #1: Have monthly direct deposits totaling $500 or more made to this account
Option #2: Keep a balance at the beginning of each day of $1,500 or more in your checking account
Option #3: Keep an average beginning day balance of $5,000 or more in any combination of this account and linked qualifying Chase checking, savings and other balances.
Otherwise a $12 Monthly Service Fee will apply.
+ Account Closing: If either the checking or savings account is closed by the customer or Chase within six months after opening, they will deduct the bonus amount for that account at closing.
+ Hard or Soft Credit Pull: If you have done a LOT of credit pulls this is something to consider or think about before completing the application. A majority of readers are use to this and it is nothing to worry about, but something to be aware of (it will show on your credit report).
We do not advise opening a saving account with Chase (the initial deposit is too high in our opinion for the bonus you receive). It is also not necessary to open a saving account to receive the checking account bonus.
